Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), Bhopal, formerly known as AISECT University, was established in 2010 as Madhya Pradesh’s first private university. It is a pioneer in skill-based education and a flagship initiative of the AISECT Group, one of India’s most respected education and skill development organizations.

The university is NAAC accredited and has been consistently ranked among the top 200 universities by NIRF for Six consecutive years (2019–2024). RNTU offers multidisciplinary academic programmes across the Faculties of Engineering, Education, Management, Law, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, and Medical Sciences, with a strong focus on employment, entrepreneurship, and real-world skills.

RNTU is recognized by the UGC and is a member of both the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). The Tagore National School of Drama, established in 2021, is the first drama school in any private university in Central India. The curriculum includes training in acting, directing, playwriting, stage design, and encourages hands-on learning through live productions and theatre performances.
